Appraisal
The kitchen felt dark and lacked a connection with the garden. The garage was used primarily for storage and therefore had the opportunity for an alternative use.
Client’s Brief
To convert the garage into a cinema room which is accessed straight from the kitchen. Alter the kitchen to create a
better layout and add more natural light.
The Scheme
The garage was transformed into a cinema room conveniently connected to the kitchen through pocket doors. The kitchen was enhanced by adding a new roof light and installing bi-fold doors that open out to the rear garden. The pocket and bi-fold doors create a seamless connection between the three spaces during social gatherings and can be closed off when needed.
