Appraisal
An individual plot offering views over the River Clyde benefiting from live planning consent for a single dwellinghouse. Careful consideration is required due to the sloped nature of the site.

Client’s Brief
To build a modestly sized home with a focus on open plan and eco-living. To maximise on views from the living area while benefiting from the south-facing light. An open-plan living and entertainment level with seamless connections between the internal and external spaces.

The Scheme
Due to the sloping nature of the site, the detached dwelling house is positioned on stilts and accessed via a bridge which also incorporates off-street parking. The modest-sized home is designed to be unassuming from the street. The north elevation of the house incorporates large areas of glazing to maximise the views from the open-plan living area and includes a series of outdoor seating spaces and access to a patio at the garden level.
